Russia Launches Largest Air Assault Since 2022, Kyiv Suffers Deadly Strikes

Aside from the three-day ceasefire, there was also the biggest airstrike by Russia in Ukraine since the conflict broke out in 2022. There were around 670 drones and 56 ballistic missiles used in the strike, leading to 12 deaths in Kyiv, 2 of whom were children. Furthermore, there was also the collapse of a building in Kyiv which resulted in people being buried under the debris. As stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky in his speech to the nation, despite the shooting down of most of the drones, the use of ballistic missiles could be lethal and therefore should be met with more Patriot missile systems.
